The company "ILARIA" is looking for a "Chief Accountant" for a partner company.

Position: "Chief Accountant"

Work Format: Full-time, on-site 

Work Schedule: 5 days a week 

Working Hours: 10:00 – 19:00 

Salary: 7 000 GEL (Net)

The position involves managing the company's full accounting and tax processes, organising financial accounting and reporting, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of accounting operations with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and company internal policies. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

Management of Accounting and Financial Processes 

• Ensuring the maintenance and control of the company's complete book-keeping; 

• Organising, coordinating, and supervising the workflows of the accounting team; 

• Controlling the processing and correct recording of primary accounting documentation; 

• Ensuring the recording of banking transactions, payments, settlements, and other financial operations; 

• Controlling and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable; 

• Controlling the accuracy and compliance of accounting accounts and balances; 

• Ensuring the recording of financial transactions in accordance with current standards, legislation, and company internal policy. 

Financial Reporting and Tax Obligations 

• Preparing financial and accounting statements in accordance with current standards and requirements; 

• Ensuring the preparation and timely submission of tax returns; 

• Controlling the correct calculation and fulfilment of tax obligations; 

• Identifying financial and tax risks and preparing appropriate recommendations; 

• Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statement data; 

• Managing and coordinating processes related to audit and tax inspections. 

Compliance with Regulations and Control 

• Ensuring compliance of accounting and financial processes with current legislation and regulatory requirements; 

• Controlling financial processes and operations in accordance with the specifics of the FinTech and financial sector; 

• Developing internal financial control mechanisms and monitoring their effectiveness; 

• Identifying risks and deficiencies in accounting processes; 

• Initiating the improvement and optimisation of financial and accounting processes. 

Analytics and Collaboration with Management

• Analysing financial data and preparing appropriate reports for management; 

• Monitoring cash flows, payments, and financial obligations; 

• Participating in the analysis of financial indicators and preparing relevant information for decision-making; 

• Collaborating effectively with company management, the financial team, auditors, and other relevant parties. 

Qualification Requirements

Education and Experience

• Higher education in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; 

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting; 

• Preferably a minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the position of Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant; 

• Experience in the financial, FinTech, banking, payments, or crypto sector is mandatory or will be considered a significant advantage; 

• In-depth knowledge of Georgian tax and accounting legislation; 

• Knowledge of financial reporting standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Ability to completely manage accounting and financial processes; 

• Analytical and strategic thinking; 

• High sense of responsibility and attention to detail; 

• Ability to identify financial risks and solve problems effectively; 

• Ability to properly determine priorities and manage several processes in parallel; 

• High accuracy and orientation towards protecting confidential information; 

• Ability to work in a team and coordinate employees; 

• High-level knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
